A large bouquet of zinnias in all their gorgeous colours in a pottery vase on a tabletop

Fantastic capture of each flower’s petals and joyful disposition 

Lots of saturated colour- particularly burgundy, red and orange with great contrast in green, blue and a little yellow

A highlight is definitely the patterned tablecloth!

Oil on canvas stretched over a timber frame and secured with tacks

Tacks can be seen along the edges

Signed bottom right and dated '40

Dutch origin

Painting size is 64.5cm wide x 50.5cm high

In lovely condition for age with only very minor blemishes including rubbing to the edges of the canvas and some faint scuffs here and there.
